A Review... and a Sale

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope that your day is filled with family, fun, gratitude and good food. :)

I'm just stopping in to share a quick post.  I wanted to let you know that yesterday my Gingersnap pattern was reviewed on Pattern Revolution.  I so very much love what both gals did with the pattern.  It is really humbling to see others enjoying my little creation, it actually gives me butterflies.  It's the little pattern that almost wasn't. :) When I designed it, I was just looking for something that I could sew several of in a short amount of time for a craft show that I was planning to do.  Once it was done, however, I realized that it wouldn't take a whole lot more work to just release it as a pattern, so I took the plunge.  I already had all 5 sizes drafted and had calculated the yardage for each, so what was writing up some instructions and doing some charts and illustrations at that point?  I'm so glad that I went ahead with it.  It has been received with much love and that really means a lot to me.

SO...

To share the love I'm offering  a deep discount for the next week!  You can get both or just one of my patterns for 50% off.  I reduced the price to half price at Craftsy, and you can use coupon code: bfriday2014 at Etsy, DIY Crush and Big Cartel to get your copies at half off. If you decide to purchase and make something, I'd love to hear your comments at Etsy or at Crafsty and of course here on the blog.

So... Until next time.... Happy Sewing!

The Zippy Keepers Pattern by FABulous Home Sewn

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to test this pattern for a friend of mine from one of my Facebook groups.  Fenna, of FABulous Home Sewn

The Zippy Keepers pattern is a great little pattern.  There are several options for each of two bag sizes. The center insert can be scrap pieced, gathered, evenly pleated, or improvisation-ally pleated.

I even took it a step further when I made my second bag and scrap pieced the main fabrics using my tiny scraps.  My friend Amanda would be proud. LOL.

This is a fun, easy sew. It's great for using up those small leftover pieces and would make really nice gifts for the upcoming Holiday season.

You can check out her post on Pattern Revolution today and even register for a chance to win a copy of the pattern.

Until next time,
Happy Sewing!
