A little update...

I finished the bento box quilt top actually a couple of weeks ago, I just never could seem to get around to posting it. LOL
I am toying with the idea of doing a bright fuschia pink backing on this quilt. What do you think?

I took this weekend off from doing any sewing. My husband and I both needed new slippers, soooo I pulled out some scrap yarn and went to work. I used this tutorial and made two sets of slippers using my knifty knitter. Gotta love that handy little thing. It took me about 4 hours per pair. While making them, I sat and watched TV for a while and then my husband played video games for a while. It was sort of nice to just hang out with him. I am usually holed up in my sewing room, so this was a nice change. It might not have taken quite so long to make them if my yarn had been wrapped better and my cat wasn't trying to "help" as she usually does. :0)

Hi Linda;

Wow...that is beautiful.

Have you sewn a back on yet? Did you go with hot pink? Are you going to show us.

And, (I have no idea how hard this is...so don't mind me if this sounds ridiculous...) if you made it out of a sturdy fabric, it would make an amazing bathtub mat. But I imagine that it takes way too much time for even thinking about that.

Hmm, wish you could come teach me how to quilt. Yours are lovely. I love the soft serene colors you chose too.
