Surgery is over!!!!

Now begins the healing process. J's surgery went well. It took about 5 hours from start to finish. The tumor was definately benign. The doctor said it was about the size of your thumb from the knuckle to the tip. It was also right on the the nerve, I mean like growing on the nerve, so it is no wonder he was in so much pain! All of the nerve pain is gone, but the surgery pain is still pretty painful. He is ok until they try to move him and then it hurts. They had to go through a lot of muscle in his back to get to it. He has been sleeping a lot, the pain meds make him sleepy and that is fine because he needs to heal anyway.
