Gift giving...

I just finished a few gifts and I thought I would share them with you.

I couldn't show you this one before because I wanted the recipient to get it before pictures went up. Here is "Dot" made for a special little guy who had a birthday.

One of Jason's co-workers became a grandmother for the first time... and second time.... all within the last week. How's that for a life changing week? Her son now has a little boy and her daughter now has a little girl. I made these for each of them as gifts. The bibs are reversible and I sort of took my own twist on Amanda's tutorial. For the burp cloths I followed this tutorial, well sort of anyway. :)

Here is the girl's set. I love this floweredey fabric!

And here is the boy's set.

All in all a pretty easy, fun, inexpensive project.
The package of diapers was about $12.00 (and I still have 4 left), I used 8 fat quarters that I got for $.99 each, two packages of bias tape at $1.60 each and scraps of batting that I had leftover from quilts. That comes out to about $9.50 for each set. I found that you could actually get two two bibs and one burp cloth out of 2 fat quarters if you laid them out right. I just chose to do one bib of each combination for the sake of getting them done in a timely manner. I actually could have done two of each combination.

I have some other projects waiting in the wings, too, but I will save those for another post.
