Spent part of yesterday...

working on the yellow and blue quilt. I now have the center section all pieced together. I have to do the borders next. I was thinking yesterday that since the yellow border is solid yellow, and this is a Winnie the Pooh print. I might just have to embroider some Winnie the Pooh sayings, or the characters names or something in the border. I think I might get a little book or a little stuffed Pooh or something to send with it. I love doing things like that, coordinating all the items in a gift around a central theme. Just wierd old me I guess!

I also spent a good portion of yesterday helping my husband sort his Legos! He finally busted in to the Lego Millenium Falcon that he got for his birthday in 2005. There are over a thousand pieces and 75 pages of instructions for this crazy thing! It will be cool when he gets it done, though. J is a huge Star Wars nut. We have a room in our basement that we eventually want to finish into a room where he can have his computers and play his games and we want to do it all in a Star Wars theme. He calls it his "Man Cave". LOL

I like the idea of adding a winnie the pooh to give with the quilt...what a nice touch. can't wait to see it!

Boys and their toys!! I try to keep my mouth shut when it comes to them, cause I have just as many!! I really like the idea of coordinating the whole gift, plus Pooh is sooo adorable, especially the "classic" pooh stuff that is so popular right now.

I also just got to read your weird stuff list from yesterday. (I mean weird in a good way of course!) I noticed you met your husband in Willmar, my husband is orginally from there!

and I thought the boys will grow out of their love for Star Wars. I guess I better plan on saving all of these Lego Star Wars!
